Strandfestival ZAND 2018 is an event in Almeerdestrand, the beach of Almere, in the Netherlands. For many, it’s the best beach festival of the year. Where Dutch performers come to the stage to entertain the audience, fantastic dance music in the special ZAND “Danst Area” and watching the sunset while you are next to the water on the beach make this a unique experience for any visitor.
Backbone International assisted client Tribe Company in Strandfestival Zand 2018 with technical production and production management. This was the 11th time Backbone International had teamed up with client Tribe for another successful edition. Backbone ensured that every detail was polished to produce the best event possible. It rained intermittently during the show day, which is typical Holland weather. But with our hardworking crew’s help, we handled the problem very well. The atmosphere on the beach remained spirited, and despite the rain, 25.000 visitors had a beautiful day and evening with bands like BLØF, Anouk, Nielson, Guus Meeuwis, Chef Special, Typhoon, and a grand final firework display.
