Jun 2016 | Bethel Woods | ID&T
MysteryLand is the oldest electronic dance music festival in the Netherlands. Over the past two decades, it has evolved into a two-day camping festival. In 2014, the festival’s promotor, ID&T, made the bold move of organizing the inaugural MysteryLand USA. It was on the original Woodstock grounds in Bethel Woods, NY, something no other promotor had been able to do in 35 years.
The third edition of MysteryLand USA booked more prominent names. And attracted larger crowds than in previous years. Backbone was hired as the technical, overlay, and decor product for the third year. Our crew was involved in every aspect of the production of this festival. From sound and lighting to fencing and tents. Next, the Backbone team was also in the area, ensuring the stages looked perfect and were ready for the artists to perform. They also put art installations throughout the festival site for the patrons to enjoy.
Once again, Backbone successfully turned the legendary Woodstock ’69 grounds into a world-class experience of music, culture, arts, and camping while staying within the budgets and deadlines set by the promotor.
