Jul 2018 | Austria | New Nomads
An estimated 18,000 Verstappen fans traveled to Austria, and around 5,000 stayed at his ‘Village’ over the July 1st weekend. The enormous campsite is a stone’s throw away from the Spielberg track and is situated on farm grounds, which are home to a flock of sheep during the rest of the year. The Max Verstappen Village offers various accommodation types, from small tents to luxury hotel rooms. The whole fan area has been brought over from the Netherlands.
Backbone International executed the technical designs and technical production for the campsite at F1 in Austria. We also assisted the client, New Nomads, with the overlay management. The camping grounds were open from June 27th until July 2nd, and the race took place on July 1st.
