Apr 2021 | Makassar | Fabulous Indonesia
On behalf of Fabulous Indonesia, The Nestlé Lactogrow – Grow Happy Fantasea Drive Thru took place in the Phinisi Point Mall parking area in Makassar, Indonesia, from the 2nd to the 4th of April 2021. During the pandemic, this was Indonesia’s first-ever drive-thru tunnel “edutainment” theme park and the first-ever family entertainment concept.
The drive-thru event offered visitors the excitement of an undersea and educational experience about nutrition and health through interactive laser gameplay, projections, and audio and visual entertainment. The tunnel held 300 cars daily and ran from 8 AM – 8 PM local time. The event was also held by the COVID-19 health and safety protocols that had been in place. Audiences experienced an underwater concept, driving through nearly 100m of tunnel structures. More than 24 projectors were installed in the tunnels, allowing children to learn about healthy habits through a set narrative. With a laser pointer, visitors could aim at interactive projections that set off different audial and visual entertainment.
Backbone took care of the technical production and the COVID-19 protocol task force. The crew worked alongside Abox on audio and video projection, NBEE on the tunnel and set decor, and HaluuWorld as the creative team. So, the drive-thru event took nine days to load in for three show days. Along with two media and KOL days. Load-out lasted for a full two days.
Because there were severe weather storms, the event lasted two days, resulting in a new form of entertaining and educational experience for Indonesian families. Who found new ways to experience entertainment and engagement together. This left families with newfound knowledge and unforgettable moments through a unique experience. Because they remained safely in their cars for the event.
