On December 13th, 2015, DJ Hardwell successfully gave a concert for the Worlds Biggest Guest List. Over 70,000 people made their way to Mumbai’s D.Y. Patil Stadium, with over 10 million fans from nearly 80 countries tuning in to watch the spectacle via livestream.
Backbone was challenged to consult on the complete production management for Worlds Biggest Guest List, which had only eight weeks lead time. Together with DJ Hardwell’s creative team and the local producers in Mumbai, it was the role of Backbone to secure a good and safe production in this short time frame.
The challenge in this project was the availability of enough resources to provide a show for 70,000 people. With the help and focus of good local partners, we produced a colossal show followed by over 10 million fans globally. Focusing on all safety elements of this operation was an essential element in this project, with a massive crowd of 70,000 young and enthusiastic Indians. In the end, after a good show without any incidents, all the crew and the Hardwell team looked back on a fantastic project in India.
